1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Aurelian", "we", "us" — refers to the Aurelian financial education practice, based at Suite 21-B Star Place, Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.
- "you", "participant", "user" — refers to any individual accessing this website or engaging in an Aurelian programme.
- "Programme" — refers to any of the three structured financial education offerings described on this website.
- "Content" — refers to all materials, workbooks, worked examples, written plans, and documents produced as part of a Programme.
- "Agreement" — refers to these Terms and Conditions together with any programme confirmation correspondence.
2. Acceptance of terms
By using this website or enquiring about a Programme, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website or engage with our programmes.
3. Nature of service
Aurelian provides financial education. We are not a licensed financial advisor, investment manager, or insurance agent under Malaysian law. Nothing communicated during a Programme constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Participants are responsible for their own financial decisions. Aurelian does not recommend, endorse, or sell any financial product, fund, or service.
4. Programme enrolment
A Programme enrolment is confirmed when both parties have exchanged written confirmation of the programme, sessions, and fee. Prior to confirmation, we may decline any enquiry if we believe a Programme is not an appropriate fit for the person's stated situation. We will communicate this clearly and without delay.
5. Fees and payment
Programme fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of all session time, written materials, and — where applicable — the printed deliverable. No additional charges apply after fee confirmation. For the Three-Year Written Plan Engagement (RM 4,400), a payment schedule may be agreed at enrolment stage. Payment terms will be confirmed in writing before the programme begins.
Cancellation and refunds
If you cancel a programme before the first session, a full refund will be provided. If you cancel after the first session has taken place, a pro-rated refund will be provided based on sessions remaining. For the Written Plan Engagement, the refund calculation will account for written work already undertaken. Refunds are processed within 14 working days of a confirmed cancellation.
6. Participant responsibilities
You agree to:
- Attend sessions at the agreed times, or provide reasonable notice if you need to reschedule
- Provide accurate information during the suitability discussion prior to enrolment
- Engage with the programme in good faith
- Not share session materials or written deliverables with third parties for commercial purposes
7. Intellectual property
All programme materials, workbook structures, session frameworks, and written plan formats are the intellectual property of Aurelian. You are granted a personal, non-transferable licence to use materials produced during your Programme for your own private financial reference. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of any programme materials is not permitted without written consent from Aurelian.
8. Confidentiality
Aurelian treats all personal financial information shared during sessions with strict confidentiality. Session notes are not retained by Aurelian beyond the programme period unless agreed otherwise. Workbooks and plan documents produced remain the property of the participant.
9. Disclaimers
Programmes are provided on an "as is" basis for educational purposes. Aurelian makes no representation that participation in a Programme will produce any particular financial outcome. All worked examples and historical data used in sessions are for illustrative purposes only. Past performance of any instrument discussed does not indicate future results.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Aurelian's total liability to any participant in connection with a Programme shall not exceed the fee paid for that Programme. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial losses arising from participation in a Programme or from decisions made following a Programme.
11. Termination
Either party may terminate a programme engagement by written notice. Where Aurelian terminates, a pro-rated refund will be provided for unused sessions. Where a participant terminates, the cancellation and refund terms in Section 5 apply.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We encourage participants to contact us informally in the first instance to resolve any concern before initiating formal proceedings.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page. Programmes contracted before a change remain subject to the terms in place at the time of enrolment, unless both parties agree in writing to updated terms.
